What is EAP?
EAP is a counselling service provided by an employer for their employees. It helps employees address concerns affecting their ability to lead a happy and productive life, both at work and outside of work.

What type of concerns can I talk about?
EAP is for life and work challenges - stress, relationships, grief, anxiety, financial worries and more. It doesn't have to be work-related.

There's no pressure to have everything figured out before you arrive.</p><p>Sessions are delivered by qualified mental health professionals. You can expect:</p><ul><li>Practical strategies, not just talking through concerns</li><li>A collaborative approach guided by what you need, not a fixed script</li><li>Sessions held at our Broome clinic, with telehealth options where appropriate</li></ul><p>Sessions are typically 50 minutes. You don't need a GP referral - simply contact us directly to make a booking.</p>Is it confidential?
Yes - completely. Your employer is never told who attends or what is discussed. Only your consent changes that.

Your employer will never be told that you attended, who you spoke with, or what was discussed.</p><p>The only exceptions to confidentiality are situations involving a serious risk to your safety or the safety of others. Your mental health professional will explain this clearly in your first session.</p><p>Your organisation may receive de-identified, aggregated data (e.g. number of sessions used across the workforce) for reporting purposes - but nothing that could identify you personally.</p>How much does it cost? Is there a session limit?
EAP sessions are fully funded by your employer - there's no cost to you. The number of sessions depends on your organisation's agreement.

There is no out-of-pocket cost to you as an employee.</p><p>The number of funded sessions available to you depends on your organisation's EAP agreement - typically between 3 and 6 sessions per concern per year. Your counsellor can clarify this at your first appointment.</p><p>If you need additional sessions beyond your funded allocation, options for continuing care can be discussed with your mental health professional.</p>What if I need longer-term or specialised support?
EAP is short-term by design. If you need ongoing care, your mental health professional will help connect you with the right next steps.

This might include:</p><ul><li>A referral to a GP for a Mental Health Treatment Plan</li><li>Connections with community mental health services</li><li>Recommendations for private psychology services</li></ul><p>You're never left without a path forward - our goal is to connect you with the right level of support.</p>What if I need urgent support?
